Any advice as to what i can clean him with? My daughter called me at work, said my roohad blood all over his head so I raced home! This is what he looks like. Hes alert, still doing his chuckle but just lays there. Hes fairly content and relaxed as is but this is a little to much for him. All my other roos and ladies are fine.

Looks like he got in a fight with another roo and got the worst of it. I would disinfect it and put some sort of cream on it and let him bsck with the rest just wstch it doesnt become infected

If the weather is still warm in your area, I would clean him and maybe use Neosporin(NO caine) on his wounds and keep him indoors for awhile . Otherwise flies will lay eggs on him and maggots will cause much more damage than the initial wounds. Roos "going at it," can easily kill each other. Also as long as other chickens can see "red" on him they will go after him and make it worse.
