Help, lame Indian Runner mamma!

i just grab their upper bill and use it to tip their headback like a bottle opener... eventualy their yappers open then i hold their head so my thumbs in the side of their bill and they bite down but cant shut their yappers all the way.. Ducks dont bite that hard
Yup, I did it! I think I lost a lot of it cause it's all over my fingers but she got some down and swallowed it. Tomorrow I will put more in the eyedropper knowing that I'm going to loose half of it. Her legs are shaking pretty bad today and after I gave it to her she plopped down.

on another note! Do you know why my young drake's bill is peeling? Is this normal?

its just the dry weather, Same as you or me, You could rub coconut oil on it but dont pick it!

I gave my ducks huge amounts of niacin and b complex and it never hurt them

This may sound crazy but what about carmex or chapstick? I think that would stay on longer since they always have their bills in water?

i honestly couldnt think why not... its just canuaba wax but with alot of chemicals added

Altho how much would it take to hurt her and how much could she possibly get in her mouth? Not alot... But still i used coconut oil on a ducky of mine just cause its 100% food safe meant to be eaten

I ate my sisters whole tube of coco cola chap stick when i was a little kid

That’s the right stuff. How about a small Amt of meal worms with the liquid over it? Or wrap her in a towel and gently drop it into her Bill so she swallows it.
Hey Miss Lydia, I think Gladys's legs are getting less trembly. I got a good dose down her throat yesterday and will keep on until she gets better. BTW, how the heck can I "follow" you on this web site? I've looked in the FAQ and everywhere and don't see how. I'm sure it's probably something ridiclously simple but I sure can't figure it out!

Click on my name you’ll see where it comes up and you can click on follow etc. I am so happy to hear your seeing inprovement in Gladys and hope she is soon 100%. Thanks for the update.
did it! Thanks. I knew it would be so simple I'd feel stupid. Mission accomplished! I usually sit in the duck run after I change out their water and pool before I put them to bed and watch their interactions and will do that tonight as well. I'm anxious to see if she's better. She got a good bit of B complex today. I'm getting better at it and wrapping her in a towel is the ticket! I do need to put something on Daisy's chapped bill so I must remember to do that also.

Hi there! I think daisy bill will be fine without putting something on it. Think of it as the same manner of them molting their feathers, their bills will do the same thing.feather here, feather there, half my bill here, other half over there. Your in great hands here!
