I am hoping you can help me. I have a 16 week old BCM cockeral - Bella and he's always been mellow and sweet, but lately I've noticed he sleeps a lot during the day and while he hasn't lost weight he definitely seems weaker. His eyes have a glaze over them and he can't seem to see out of one of them (I see him walking into things and he misses when I give him treats regularly. I am afraid something terrible is wrong. This is what I have done so far:
1. Duramycin in the water & mixed in with mash
2. Saline in eye to clean followed by pink eye medication Dexamethane (leftover from human pink eye)
3. Vitamin E-oil suitable for consumption - dribbled over blueberries and had him eat
4. Vitamin B complex - droppers - given orally *he didn't like that
5. Vet Rx given topically
I got him from a farm and I don't know if he was vaccinated. He was fine as a chick - these symptoms started the past few weeks with the vision progressively getting worse.
I'm scared he has something really awful. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I can provide pictures and my phone number..i just don't want to lose him - it would break my family's heart.
Thank you for any help or advice.
