Hi All!
I have a 2 week old Buff Orpington. Just in the last few hours we've noticed milky white poop, she's lethargic, tucks tail under, laying down a lot, and seems to be breathing hard. She is with another duckling, and she seems to be in great shape. I saw her eat this morning, but I haven't noticed it since. We were able to get a few eye droppers of water, mixed with electrolytes and food. My boyfriend thinks it's some type of bacteria in her gut. I have tried to get her to eat and drink but with no success. I have attached photos of the food and nutrients they get in their food and water. Am I overdoing it? This is my third round of ducklings, the other two sets being successful healthy adults now, and I haven't changed anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. She was running around and being her playful self yesterday.

I was about to tag you Miss Lydia! I find your posts very useful. Yes, there is niacin in the other supplements. I think I am overdoing it. I cannot find the amount of niacin in the brewer's yeast and garlic, but from what I am reading on the label it's a sufficient amount. The other girl is energetic and doing well, and we noticed that she was bigger than the buff duckling yesterday. I am able to get electrolyte water with feed mixed in it into her with an eye dropper. Should we add honey to the mix? Should I be trying to get some clear water into her, if so how much?

When you have been giving her the dropper are you shooting it down her throat or just putting small drops into her bill? It's very easy to get the liquid down the wrong pipe so to speak unless you are very careful. You can't get her to drink on her own either? Sounds very worrisome, what about tube feeding would you be open to doing that? @casportpony can walk you through. If you can get some liquid into her then she may have a chance but dehydration is something that can happen pretty quick.

I have been shooting it down her throat to make sure she is getting water. I would be open to tube feeding. Anything that will help her. She did eat a couple of good nibbles from me hand and i got her to take a drink on her own but that's it.
