HELP! Lethargic, possibly sick, duckling.

Sadly daisy passed in my hands this afternoon. She would eat and drink on her own, but not nearly enough. I'm unsure what was the cause, but Emmy, our other duckling is in great health. Sadly, shes alone now. I have 2 new girls coming in a week for her, ordered from metzer. But I'm worried about her. I have 3 older ducks, but 2 are mating males (we are in the process of rehoming 1, but separation is working) and the other a sassy, territorial khaki Campbell. Any advice on how to handle her by herself? Shes 2 weeks, not old enough to be outside (though it feels like summer out there). I work a full time job, so I can only be here for her on my lunch break, in ththe mornings and evenings. Probably 6 hours away, and then bed time. I have a mirror and stuff animals in with her.

Also, will the little ones be too little to introduce to Emmy, or should i just put them all in the tote and let them work it out? Should I wait a few days for them to grow a bit more?

She sure looks healthy and I’d just keep eye on her I don’t think that is anything to worry about let’s see what @casportpony says.. I am so sorry you lost your little Daisy. If me and you’ll be very surprised the size difference between Emmy and your new littles and them only being a few days old I’d give them sometime to get their legs under them good let them be together outside of the brooder so the get use to each other and Emmy doesn’t pick on them, probably won’t take long before they will be best buds. Emmy May pick some just to establish dominance but I am talking about being really mean to them.

I cant thank you enough for your advice and kindness. I got ducks for the first time and June and I never knew how difficult it could be. We had 2 get killed by a hawk and now this. It's all a learning experience and I'm not sure I would be able to do without this site. Emmy is happily nibbling at me on the couch and I've got a clear tote for her brooder so she can see me on the coffee table. I'll be sure to give the little ones some time to grow first. She doesnt do that noise often, havent heard it really since I took the video and she is full of energy!

It def is a learning experience. And losing two to a hawk also I am so sorry to hear. But you haven’t given up and that is good. We learn what is best to keep them safe and it’s always something new daily. I look forward to seeing your new ducklings what breed did you pick.
