Help Me Identify My Mystery Pullet!

Okay I just went down the Buckeye rabbit hole and now I am convinced I need 10 more. Her personality 100% matches up with everything I am reading. Friendly to a fault. Laid back and mellow. Sometimes chatty. And she is the BEST bug hunter. I mean out of all of our girls it has been a running joke about how well she has hunted bugs. So cool to finally know what she is and I can’t believe we lucked out with her!! Check out this picture of her chillin in my hand like a limp noodle.View attachment 2327444

They are the best, I'm not kidding! Once you've tried them there's no going back. They are the friendliest birds, right from day one. FEARLESS to a fault, literally aren't afraid of anything, and they are the best foragers. Mine find most of their own food when out on range and they hate being kept in the run.

Oh, and when they're mature the gorgeous shiny mahogany red feathers are so beautiful.

I wanted to add that her bug hunting expertise is a Buckeye trait. When there's food to be found, the Buckeyes will find it first and will be the first to gobble it down. Bugs fear them!

We are totally hooked! Actually, we got our girls with a friend and I am over visiting her chickens right now - one of her other girls has a similar personality and I just noticed she has a smaller comb, too. Can you tell me if she looks like a RIR or a Buckeye to you? She was all ginger as a baby, unlike mine. But she has been friendly to a fault, too... She even wandered off for 10 hours the other day and casually came back at bedtime

Awesome! That’s what I was thinking when I looked at her today! How cool pretty neat we both ended up with one as a total surprise! I can’t wait to get more now
