I purchased eight lovely little chicks 7 months ago or so, the cute little black ones with the sweet makeup look turned out to be huge and black with a beautiful green sheen on each. I believe on is a roo and one a hen? They each have solid black feet and black earlopes with black skin and please see combs since I am not familair with the variations.

Thanks in advance, and I hope they lay green eggs with my ham. Hope these pics work.

I must confess I don't know my large fowl as well as others might (more of a bantam person!), but my first thought upon seeing the photos was that they're perhaps australorps. Look those up and see what you think!

Could they be black Jersey Giants? What color is the bottom of their feet? i think the JGs are yellow.

If they are around 28 weeks, could the one with a bigger comb and wattles be about ready to lay? Our BA pullet is 26 1/2 weeks and still not laying. Her comb/wattles are in between your two in size and she is our biggest bird.
