HELP! My 3 day old chick had the top of its leg caught in its umbilical cord

so I went to go cheek on my 3 day old chicks and noticed one had it’s foot behind him so I picked him up and the top of the foot was caught in the umbilical cord thing I got his foot out but now he walks with it behind him what can u do leave him make a support

I put surgical table around his anckles but he is lay on his back a keeps flapping around

The umbilical cord should drop off on its own very soon. He should find his feet within the next day or two but you could try putting him in a (warm) ramekin for a day to keep him upright and gain some strength in his legs. Just be sure to keep giving him food and water.
