Help! My 7 wk old silkie chick is still tiny!

I got her from a breeder and we have had her/he ( still not sure of the gender) for 7 weeks now but is still so small she can fit in my hand. She seems very healthy and playful but has not grown anything except for wing feathers. I have her on chick starter and vitamins which the breeder gave me but I am worried. I have seen pictures of 7 wk of chicks and they are 10x bigger than her. Help!

Wow, that is weird. I've never h this happen to me and have never heard of it happening either. Sorry I'm no help. Hopefully someone else will come and help you out with this.

Are multiple silkies like this, or did you only buy one silkie? Silkies are a bantam breed, so they are a lot smaller than regular chickens, so it might be something normal, if it's not a whole lot smaller than your other sillier chicks.

I also bought a showgirl from he breeder and she is also this size.
