Hey! I am new with chickens, so do you know what’s going on?

I came to let our chickens out for the day, one of them wouldn’t come out of their nesting area. She couldnt stand, how hard she tried. Her comb was floppy but still a healthy colour. We separated her from the group and made her as comfy as possible. It is a VERY hot day, can this affect anything?
She really didn’t want to move any part of her body, although when given water and food, she tried to eat it. The others from the group seem worried, they aren’t eating their breakfast...

they are new (a month and a half) and haven’t been laying for a while. We try to give everything that will help but we are simply clueless of what to do. Can you help please?

thanks x

So they’re a month and a half old chickens? That seems awful young to be laying anyways. It’s usually closer to 18 weeks (3-4 months) for new pulleys to Starr laying.

But anyways, are you able to determine if the chicken is injured in anyway? Will she let you pick her up and examine her? Perhaps take a few pics of her and post on here for a better understanding for us of her condition. Good luck!

Thanks you! She isn’t a month and a half, we have had her for a month and a half. She doesn’t have any injuries, but now she is able to stand, not walk much though. When we found her, her claws/feet were clenched together.
We took her apart from the others.

I have a similar thing like this, but slightly different. The recommendation on my posts were things like dehydration, apparently this summer has been really bad for chickens, and possibly Maverick or something like that. But that was when my chicken was much worse. Also, if they are not laying right now, could it be she is egg bound? Apparently it happens really fast and the chicken gets really bad really fast. I had one that was frost Bitten "down there" during the winter. I had to bring here in and, when I did, she laid about 4-5 eggs in about an hour and was acting better, but looked similar to your chicken. If they are egg bound, your supposed to bring them in where it's cool, (or warmer if it's in winter) like indoors, and do some sort of warm bath thing. There's steps on here and on Google of you look it up.

Yeah. The one I have I don't think is egg bound, but hasn't laid an egg for a month. That's why I recommend checking for that though. Mine is just a pet that I am trying to raise.

Is she over heating? try to move her wings off her body to help her cool down. Also! Check for chicken lice, my poor squints had the same issues
