Hello, sorry I haven't introduced myself in the new members section, but I promise I will when all this calms down... I need urgent guidance. We live in South West Scotland, Uk and there is no poultry vet specialist around here.
I have 4 ducks and 1 drake, all runners. I have hatched myself the drake and 2 of the girls in July, so they're 7 months.
5 days ago I noticed my drake going quite and spending some time by himself which is unusual. Then 2 days later I found him sitting unable to stand up.
The last few weeks, he had got closer to one of my girl who's not his sister. She's been begging him to do something with her but he kinda doesn't really get it. He's not ready. Then we had severe frosts and all the water icing over. I made sure the ice was broken everywhere everyday, but there wasn't many places they could dunk or swim. They've spent a lot of time at the bottom of the field where a big puddle gathers.
So when I found him on Wednesday afternoon I called my vets and they gave him anti-biotics. After two days of no improvement I went back to the vets with his sweetheart who's also displaying some symptoms. They took samples of blood and poo for the lab but I won't have the results for several days.
I'll try to post a video. My drake doesn't eat but does drink. His poo is bright green and watery. He can't stand his left foot is now clenched (I'm sure both were yesterday). I've been trying to force feed him a bit but often he starts by throwing up clear mucus. I'm wondering if it could be lead poisoning given the other duck also has some symptoms although they're both very bright and love when I give them a bath.
Any hope for my boy? thank you

Could you post a video of the bird? Upload it to a video platform such as Youtube, or Vimeo, and copy/paste the link here. If you have pictures of the droppings that may be helpful too.

How long has he not been eating?

If he is outside, could you bring him inside where it's warm?

Hello thanks for taking interest! I do love that drake. He's called Robin.
Here's a link for him...
And video of her:

I brought him in on Thursday morning and her on Friday morning. Now they're in all the time. I have fed my ducks layers pellets in the morning (I have chickens too and it's hard to keep them seperate) and mixed corn in the afternoon. They forage a lot and I gave brewers yeast to the drake and his sister's when they were ducklings but was under the impression I didn't need to carry on past 16-18 weeks... they use to have parsley from me (they don't like peas!!) But I don't have any in the winter.
He's not been eating himself since at least Wednesday. Maybe a bit before... There is vitamins and brewers yeast in his water which he sips. Still quite bright as we speak...

Here's a picture of his poo. I posted a couple of video too... he's still very bright. Hanging out with his sister outside for an hour, getting fresh air, I'll get him in soon... thanks

Hello I'm blowing a fuse, I'm so devastated and haven't slept for days. Everything is closed here today and my drake hasn't eaten for a while. Also there is all that mucus coming up if we try to feed him. Could anyone give me some pointers? There is no avian vet here and vets are closed on Sunday...

What do you feed them??

Sorry I thaught I'd reply at the back of the video. Layers pellets in the morning (small holder range) and mixed corn in the afternoon. They can forage a lot too I see them gobbling a lot what I presume to be bugs.
