HELP MY DUCK IS NOT EATING

I agree that a vet would be best, but the OP said it's not an option, so now we should try to find a way to help the OP and their duck that's not eating.
Hmmm..We are not Vets but backyard Duck owners...:th
Maybe some do a bit more reading although not ready to save someone's pets either.

Most people come to BYC because a vet is something they can’t afford so it’s always nice to have someone who can give advise try to help out if there is a problem or sickness. When my chicken wasn’t eating thankfully I was directed to Two Crows and she gave me great advise about impacted crops. And there have been other times when I have gotten beneficial help also, Vets we’re not but some of us have some experience treating our birds and can help others I depend on quite a few here for help when I need it @casportpony being one of them.

Agreed. A vet is not feasible for many of us. As much as I love my chickens and ducks, I doubt one will ever see a vet. There are experienced folks here that have dealt with almost every issue imagineable.
Granted, diagnosis may or may not be accurate, as we are all sometimes guessing about problems, but when a vet isn’t an option, BYC folks get my vote!

update today i was late feeding pepper because i was candling duck eggs, when i went to feed her she was more active than she has been lately and she actually ate a fairly good amount of food (layer pellets) i am wondering if i was feeding her at the wrong time?

You don’t leave feed out during day light hrs I just put out enough feed in the morning so mine can eat as they want. They forage also, with yours being under weight I believe I would too. She needs the calories. Great to hear she is eating
