Yeah i would agree just keep one side of the brooder heated and give them plenty of space to go that isn't heated. Seems like it's just warm.

I think the big thing here is to take a deep breath, check off the list of things people have suggested, and maybe do a bit of reading. It can be overwhelming especially when they're this small, but they're hardier than they look!

I found the Tyrant Farms blog very helpful in prepping for this stage (before I found this forum) and then Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks is probably considered the duck bible if you can order it from Amazon or your local bookstore.

May I ask if you know what breed these ones are? Mine look exactly like this and TS of course "didn't know" what breed they are. I have some ideas on what they are but am hoping you have a positive ID for yours.
