Update!!!! I think were going to build or buy one of those floating (But anchored, platforms) that way they can be by themselves, and sleep out there in the middle of the pond.
Maybe that would work. There isn't any way we can close them in together at night. Goosie would never be able to handle it.

Just remember predators swim and for succulent goose dinner they will not give up. What makes you think Goosie would never be able to handle it? my gander follows his mate around like a lil puppy he's 8yrs old she is 3. If she goes inside he follows right after her.

Do you have great horned owls? weasels, mink even raccoon swim.

Yep they are lethal but cute which makes it so hard to see them as the killers they are.

A raccoon came close to drowning the dog in my avatar. Granted he was not a good swimmer but that raccoon knew exactly what he was doing.

I shot a raccoon with a pellet gun because it kept coming into our garage, it ran off but I haven't seen it since, hope he learned not to come around!
