Help : ( Newbie chicken owner...Polish or Crevecouers? Your guess on Pullet or Roos? (Pictures)

Well, here are some pics of my Crevecoeurs. One turned out to be a roo and the other a pullet.

Crevecoeur rooster

Crevecoeur pullet
Both have gimped tails due to the flock picking on them so they are being re-homed

Can stressed pullets CROW?!! Real Mystery now!! I took my flock out of their run to forage today. One of my Crevecoeurs wouldn't leave the run and began to crow when it discovered it was all alone!! The problem is, I was 99% sure it was a pullet because it has no comb to speak of. Believe me, I looked very carefully in it's crest for it and nothing is there. It also acts like a hen and gets along with the EE roo and other Crevie roo I have. My other Crevecoeur which I know is a roo was outside the run with the rest of my girls. He has his"devil horn" comb showing when you part his crest. None of my chickens have started laying yet since they are only 3 and a half to 4 months old. Since they aren't laying I can't factor that in to figuring out if that crowing Crevie is a roo. Is it possible a hen can crow when she's stressed? Hopefully someone with experience with crevies can help with this one. The 2 crevies are the same age, 3 and a half to 4 months old.
100% roo as he has a comb and wattles. >>>>>.

<<<<<<<Pullet or roo? It has wattles but no comb but was crowing.

Was it actually crowing or was it crying out loudly? I have two Houdans and when they were younger they were inseparable. If I picked one up and the other couldn't see it, the other would cry out quite loudly (as loud as a crow) until it saw it's friend again. (I'm still not 100% on their genders but they are 6 months old and neither has crowed yet).

It was actually crowing. : ( Crowing better than my EE/Dark Cornish rooster.

Both of those are cockerels. See those thin, slick feathers coming out of the crest? Only roosters of crested breeds get those, hens have smooth, rounded crests.

I was confused when the one I thought was pullet started growing those shiny thin feathers in it's crest since all other indications were pullet. But that crow along with your input confirmed it's a rooster. That leaves me with 3 roos and 3 pullets. Thankfully I have a 4-H club that is willing to take both my Crevies tomorrow. My little peeps are going to be show chickens..lol! I doubt they meet all the APA Crevecouer standards since the one has too much yellow in his legs and the other has white tipping on 2 of his primaries and 2 dark grey primaries. Maybe they will still get prizes at the fair since there aren't many Crevies around here to compete with them. Ty all again for the help.
