I was assured they were only going to do an inspection, yet the note I found tonight says they sprayed 40 gallons of Termidor 80 on my foundation. The VERY obvious chicken tractor is not 6 feet from the house right now! I googled the material safety data sheet and freaked! Very toxic to birds...

Of course NO one answers at the termite company, the vet's night service doesn't do chickens, and I am just freaking out! HELP!

They look fine. When it gets darker, the chickens will go in and we can move the tractor without risk of them escaping and getting at the treated area.

AAAAAHHHHHH!

Thank you RedHen, I am so anxious. After looking over the situation, the tractor is staying put until I figure out what's up tomorrow when the company opens. Are they getting an earful! The birdies are all up on their roost, seem fine, no neurological symptoms I can see. I dare not let our cat out either, he like to chew the grass there too.

Hope everything is fine and you give the companay a good

If you haven't already I'd dump any food that was out in the feeder and clean/change the water as well just to be safe in case some of the stuff blew over that way.

Somebody, anybody got anything? I'm a nervous wreck! I know I've got to wait until morning

Great Idea, Kitty Momma, pulling the stuff now

Most exterminators are aware of the importance of peoples pets and take great care to prevent harming them, I hope this was one of them. If you are not seeing any ill effects by now I'm sure they will be O.K.

Thanks Muttly. The rest of the family says I'm over reacting. Probably right. I'm over-tired and had spent the whole day in the docs offices on top of that. Not functioning at my best. Thanks everyone.

That's upland game birds it is highly toxic to, ducks and other avian species it is classified as practically non toxic in that the dosage required to cause a problem would have to be huge.

BTW, it is the active ingredient in Frontline flea and tick sprays etc ...

thank you. I will call, calmly, tomorrow - mostly to ask questions, and probably to apologize for the message I left. I am gonna go to bed and start over tomorrow.

OMG!!!! Hubby just read over all the notes. What they attached was the notes reprinted from the treatment done in

wait for it

2006.

I'm gonna bake a cake or a pan of brownies and take it to the office in the morning. I'm such a dumb a$$. I'm really embarrassed.
