This Specimen right here looks like he would make some nice Chicken Nuggets, Maybe even Some BBQ Chicken, if the Scoot Will start up and let me get to WalMart. Hehehe Yua
This morning I was outside, just at sunrise was starting and I heard, what sounded like to me, a crowing noise. I hurried to my coop to see who was making the sound, but as you probably already guessed the sound stopped and all the girls had ,"I-didn't-do-it-look" on their faces. I have never heard it before and none of my girls acts like a rooster.I mean we have the bossy one who lets everyone know she is the first to the salad, but I haven't seen any real aggressive behavior, and despite the occasional solo adventure round the field, they all hangout out together. I got them in September, when they were about a month or so old. I do only find 3-4 eggs from my 6 girls. I have a large field that they free range, and despite all my efforts I haven't found the secret nesting spot. It's crazy hot here right now, so I figured they just aren't laying as much.
Do you think my crowing sound was just a girl trying to act tough? Could I have a tomchick? Thanks for your help!
