Here is another video where a man gets a little gunk out of an eye, and it shows him pulling down on the lower lid to see in the eye. That would be a good time to put a small dot in the eye:

I have the triple antibiotic ointment. The Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment is much cheaper, and many have that in their medicine cabinets. Do you have a label of the elixir that you used, with the name and dosage? To hold your chicken you can place a towel on your lap, and hold her like a football. With any eye problem it would help to have another pair of hands. But I would hold her head with the same hand of the arm I was holding her. Open the eye with a thumb and forefinger or pull the lower lid down and apply a small dab to the lower eyelid. It will warm up and melt into and spread over the eye. Here is a graphic video of expressing pus from around a swollen eye:
I haven't noticed one, no. I am going to go try opening her eye now and offer some wet food to her as well as spot clean the shavings in the coop after I am done with her eye. That won’t treat infection and isn’t necessary. If you hear any gurgling, crackles, sneezing, or see bubbles or foam in the eye, Tylan or Tylosin may be good for symptoms of a respiratory disease such as MG. Is there a bad odor from her eye?
This is starting to sound like a respiratory infection. Tylan helps with that. To feed her I would add water and make her food a mash, not too wet. Pick some up between 2 fingers, open her beak, and put it in. Shell swallow it. When my girls were sick I had to do this multiple times a day. The wet feed will also help with the not getting enough eater aspect. You need to make sure she's getting food and water.I have been putting terramycin in her eye about two times a day for the last three days now, I also put vetrx on her beak, etc. Her eye appears to be getting better, there hasn't been puss she even has been opening her eyelid every now and then during and after putting the terramycin on, right now I am more concerned about her not eating or drinking. And she has a quite whistle when breathing or just in sound in general.
I tried getting her to drink some water with nutri-drench in it yesterday and she only took two tiny sips, she wont eat her food I tried offering scratch grain she didn't look interested in it, I have tried offering her some dry and wet all flock pellets she wont eat anything I try giving her. I am thinking she wont eat very much because of her eye, not being able to see the food very well might be her issue? I have only tried giving her the scratch grain and all flock pellets and last night I tried getting her to eat some lettuce but she didn't eat any or show interest in it. When I hold her to put the terramycin and vetrx on her, she makes more noise when breathing, she makes a clicking noise, she will breath through her mouth more when I pick her up too. She also just hangs out in the coop most of the time if she isn't in the coop she is hanging out somewhere else, her crop has been for the most part empty, there has been a small mushy bit of food or something in her crop for the whole time her eye has been like this, it hasn't changed very much and it seems hold it shape after I feel it. I am hoping this makes sense and gives you the idea of what I feel in her crop.
I don't really know how to force food into her beak because she will struggle and move her head to much for me to be able to put food in her beak. It is hard enough getting her head in the right position above the water so I can stick the tip of her beak in it, I just don't know what to do, I don't know if I should worry about getting her to eat if I should treat her for a respiratory illness or just respiratory distress or if I should treat her for possible crop issues I don't think she has one though. Or if I should treat her for all those kind of things, maybe I am just being to worried maybe she will figure that stuff out on her own?
I think I covered everything for now.
Thank you, for any suggestions/advice!
I will get pictures of her eye tomorrow... possibly today if I decide to bring my phone out when I go put the terramycin on her eye for the second time today.
