HELP one of my silkies isn't right..

i agree my chicks turned over just turn them back and rest they will stil be weak and just see tommorow im sure you will be ok good luck

Well here's the update, I put a boot on this chickens one foot, the one that was curling... The head up in the air and then falling backwards has stopped. he doesn't put his head up anymore. He still falls backwards but is managing to wiggle his way back up. The boot I put on him seems to be helping ALOT.... so I think it all started with the curly toe and not being able to get the polyvisol and b2 that I have been giving him down correctly.. He is eating and drinking. I don't know how long I need to keep this boot on him. What do you think? He's walking a lot, even running... He's making progress.. All the other chicks are eating and drinking now too. I figured they would they just needed a little more time..

I don't know about the boot but it sounds like improvement! I am hoping your little silkie pulls through to be a rowdy chicken just like our girl did. Make sure and keep us updated!

CYG

When I got home from work today, his toe had gotten soo bad that he was walking on the front part of his toes, His entire foot had bent all the way back from the front view it looked like he had a stub and no toes at all.. But now that I got the boot on it's almost like he's in training. Training his toe to go straight and not curl.. but at least he's walking on it now. At first he kept leaning on the other foot, he wouldn't put any weight on it at all, now after several hours he's finally putting weight on it. He was also chirping a lot yesterday. He has stopped that, does it only to talk to the other chicks.. I have to find out how long I need to keep this boot on though...
