HELP PLEASE! in the middle of an assist hatch & my guide is unavailble now!

Hi @Lacrystol

let me see if I got this straight...

poly vi sol (without iron) by mouth= check, and yes...he officially hates me now! lol
poly vi sol in the water as well? how much, a full dropper?
vitamin B complete=human kind right? have a brand name I can go by? I have to get that tomorrow when store opens
Poultry drench=have to get the tomorrow too...do I need to stop any of the other stuff when i use this?
electrolytes= using now
probiotic= just added
vitamin E= human form, like the gel pills or liquid? or something i need to get at the supply store?
the brooder temp is 90 degrees...is that too high or low?

Did I miss anything?
Ive read in a few posts on BYC about selenium for this as well, do I need that too?
What about the apple cider vinegar i read about on here?

oh and by the way, his legs have gotten a little better...this duckling is determined to blow my mind! LOL

I knew he would Hate the stuff.
No polyvisol by water IF you have poultry drench or the Vitamin B complete,
You should only need or the other Poultry drench or Vitamin B,
Vitamin E if he can't hold his head up and you think he's been injured. Yes gel,
Selenuim for chickens, don't really need it for ducks.

He's your problem child..

Here he is. he looks like he's stuck in stargazing mode. Sometimes his head seems to be curled more and sometimes he looks like in the picture. He is still pretty active with his sibling and eating & drinking, but I have seen him a couple times try to walk straight and he'll go in circles.

Well i've been to every store in my area that would carry this kind of stuff and here's what I ended up with...I got the B complete in liquid form (it was identical to the pill form) & vitamin E but the only Niacin I could find had on the box, flush free, time released, and non flush. stupid me thought the brewers yeast was something that would be in a grocery store & couldn't find it there, why...i just googled it and it's a supplement! so now it's back to the stores to see if i can at least get that. Will that be okay to take the place of the Niacin?

I went to all the supply stores and locally owned feed stores & NONE of them have the poultry drench. They only carried the feed, feed holding containers, the save a chic probiotics & electrolytes and wormer medicine for chickens...they don't seem to cater to chickens or ducks, just cows & horses :(

I stressed all night and was hitting the stores as soon as they opened this morning. I was so upset that I couldn't get the 2 main things I needed (Niacin & Poultry Drench) :(

He is my problem child....but this is all my fault bringing him into this world too early :( I am so dang attached to him & can't stand to see him suffer like this. I will NEVER assist hatch again!
My new hatching technique....
incubate
lockdown
sit on hands & listen for peeps of hatched eggs
remove after dried & fluffed
toss non hatched eggs

Niacin is Vitamin B3 Look on the ingredients of the Vitamin B complete Do you see Vitamin B3 list?

THEN YOUR OK, stop stressing and work on the little guy. LOL, no wonder he's in a daze, he's trying to figure you out. LOL..

OK, now put the Complete in his water, 1 pill per quart. try to give him a couple of drops of it, with a FULL pill of Vitamin E, GET THAT TOWEL again, his is NOT going to like the vitamin E. Once you get that in him give him some Polyvisol.

How's his vent?

If he is eating then brewers yeast will be fine, that's all I have ever used for niacin replacement. you may have to go to natural food store or whole foods to get it.
