HELP PLEASE! in the middle of an assist hatch & my guide is unavailble now!

his vent still has a thick scab, but it looks clean and dry.

B complete bottle (liquid form) has it listed as niacin 20mg
put it in his water= done
give him some of it directly=done

Vitamin E 400iu gel
give to him directly=done

Polyvisol
give him some directly=done

Scoodie packs his bags and runs away when I go to sleep= it is so gonna happen...he HATES me for sure now! I also think I saw him looking up your address online @Lacrystol . He has a bone to pick with you! LOL

what's next? I pray I don't have to torture him again...

I FINALLY found some regular Niacin pills (250mg) and Brewers Yeast pills (500mg). Am I putting them to the side for now???

@Amiga ...you are so right! I actually got sick to my stomach today and had to lay on the couch and couldn't lift my head for 2 hours! I feel extremely exhausted.

Ok so what was the reason that you felt you needed to assist. And what exactly did you do.

Did he loose any blood at the time?

How old is he now??

Keep the vitamins up until you see improvements then you slowly decrease each week. So if today U gave him two drops of poly and he's improvec then next week you would cut that Down to one drop. Same with the vitamin e. You just decrease each week. Keep up with the naicin In the water

Did you ever check your bag for protein count and you might want to see if there's naicin in the food as well.

your doing a good job with love and care for Scoodie, don't keep beating yourself up about what happened at hatch, concentrate now on getting him well. That is enough stress. You've got Doc Lacrystol and Amiga to help that is saying alot.

No iron that's why it's rec to give poly vi sol with out iron. Good feed and his vitamins will hopefully take care of it. I'm not familar with game bird feed so I'll let Lacrystol speak about it. Is this feed formulated for newly hatched ducklings?

This is good. Nice high protein but not to high to cause angel wings. Which I had my joys of dealing with. LOL

"niacin supplement" Nice, but probably not enough to what he needs.. So the Vitamin B complete should help..

Hows the little guy doing today. Now if he has wry neck and I'm not 100% convinced that that is whats going on but if he does, Remember this: He will get WORST before he gets better"...

I'm thinking more like an injury or pulled a muscle or a strain, something to that affect, which the vitamins should help him recover.

but lets see a pic of him today? Did you say how old he is??

He is 1 looooooong week old today. I can tell he's grown. He was practicing using his oil gland and spreading it on his body....cute!

I would say he is the same today as yesterday....not worse :)

If it is a pulled muscle or sprain....should I message it or anything? will that help him or hurt him?

VERY GENTLY rub it. don't stress him out, if he likes it great but if he gets to fightsie, then stop... Is he still able to eat and drink OK. Its very important that he can drink after eating, they have to be able to flush down that food or they can suffocate.. some times it gets stuck in his nostrils, hum that could be causing any balance issues.

Have you taken them for there first Swimming lesson yet??
