Pics
I have to say, that amount of blood especially as seen in the background of the second pic, would be very concerning to me.

Also, any idea why so many are hatching bloody?

Didn't see the 2nd pic... Will go back and look.

Will my duckies be ok? With all this movement and they are supposed to be on lockdown.

I don't know ANYTHING! This whole process was for my daughter. She wanted to hatch chickens and ducks for her science project. I have homes for them as of tomorrow, but for now, I am doing this with BYC support!

Depends where it's coming from. If it's from the umbilicus it can be improper temps or humidity. If I remember right, these hatchlings are three days late which is a signifier temps have been off.
If it's from active veining then they hatching before ready.

I don't even know what that is, so no. They've all been hatching alone. I can try and take a pic from the inside of the egg...
Sugar water is good enough.
Go to the first page of Incubating and hatching with friends. Everything is there.
How long it takes to zip.
How and when to assist.
How to make the Sav-a-chick.

They were late. They are at 100.8' now. Crazy chick knocked over the water. Can I open and refill? Will that affect the chicks? I am sure I need more.

Btw, 5/6 just pipped. I'm feeling overwhelmed.
