A chick doesn't have to eat any food or anything the first couple days. They are actually shipped within 24 hours of hatch with no food. That being said not all are strong enough after hatch to make the trip. They are living off of absorbed yolk. I would think biggest concern would be being able to avoid heat if needed to in incubator. And if weak from hatching they may need some electrolyte water. Is there a reason you don't wanna transfer them to a brooder?

The house and farm I am giving them too isn't too far, probably about 10-15 minutes away. My concern is that I have 1 chick that is in the process of hatching. I want to take all the chicks together to their new home. Can I leave the hatched chicks in the incubator for more than 24 hours (considering hour 24 is 8-9 PM)?

3 chickadees hanging out! One pipping now. Not sure about the last one. Today is day 25. Should I toss it? Duck eggs haven't shown any pipping yet. But a lot of movement with the chicks running all over them.

@Ronie yes, it will be fine in there for 24+ hours. Once they all hatch, drop the temperature a few degrees. I use mine for ICU or slow chicks fairly often.

If I drop the temp won't it affect the ducks hatching? :/
