Help! Pullet seems to have broken foot? Can't walk! *Pics*

I think the chicken shoe is a great idea but clearly there is something else wrong if she won;t walk. I would try a course of antibiotics combined with the chicken shoe and if nothing improves after that then it may be something more serious.

What kind of antibiotics should I give her? Anything I can give her that's homemade? Both of her feet are weird now.... because she has not been using them for awile..

Sad to say I have no idea what kind to give her or the dosage. It was my vet that prescribed me my CEFA drops. If you can;t get down the the vets office, Perhaps your local feed store may have some over the counter medication that they could recommend?

Someone please help me! Her feet are horribe! No poop for like 5 HOURS! Only 2 poops today! What can I do for her? What kind of anitibiotics? Please help me, I really DON'T want to cull her!

I have no clue what to do, no vet that could help her, and my local feed store is tractor supply, which sucks because they carry no antibiotics only penicillan which can only be injected with a needle... Grrr

she seems very beautful and i have raised many chicks. i would look in youre phonebook and call the vets office asap and take her in.

I will have to call the vet after school tomorrow which ends at around 4 pm. Let's hope she makes it throught the night. An while I'm at school... Anything I can do do help her while she waits?

I would say keep her warm and make sure she is hydrated, even if you have to syringe in a few ml at a time. I am sorry this is happening too, she is a pretty little thing. Good luck at the vets and keep us posted.

I'm doing my best to keep her warm but I have no heat lamp. only for the chicks in the brooder. She is fully feathered and I put her on a comfy blanket. Any other ideas on how to keep her warm? Before I go to school tomorrow at err 7 am I will boil her 2 eggs and give her the yolks. Put some water in a dish, and hope she does not sit in the water again. She will walk ( sloooowly and limping and walking funny with both hocks touching ground...) And tends to stumble. Anything else I can feed her other than egg yolks??? I do not have any yogurt

Should I put sugar in her water (just a little) to keep her more alert (just in case so she won't fall asleep in the water dish again) Or some Electrolytes?

Since you don't know what going internally with her I wouldn't add anything to her water, plain water is good. If you have some pop bottles you could fill them with warm water put a blanket over them and keep her as near to them as possible. Nutritionally I am very inexperienced with what chickens need when they are unwell and not pooping. I would imagine that if there is some pullet feed or gritty high vitamin feed at hand that you can mix in with the egg yolk that may help for sustainability. Otherwise at this point it is the waiting game, and that is the hardest part until the vet can see her.
