i’m not sure what to clean it with we haven’t got any hydrogen peroxide like people have suggested online

i’ve put him in a box next to the radiator to reduce shock and just left him tried to clean blood with water but i was scared i was going to make it worse

I would dab at it with a clean, damp cloth.
Maybe use a scissors to trim the feathers around it?

to the top of his head his eyes are closed

Keep him isolated from others. Vetericyn, Theracycn or other hydrogel wound sprays from feed stores would be helpful. Or mix some table salt 1 tsp to 16 ounces of water, and boil for a few minutes, then cool. That can be used to clean the wound twice a day. Then apply plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment twice a day. This is a common place for serious wounds. Most will, recover if there is no head injury. It will takes weeks to heal and grow new skin.
