Help! Rescue Rooster flying away!

Hes a cutie thats for sure. He definitely came from the bantam box, Hes so skinny, just like mine. haha!
He looks like a mottled cochin like mine just with less spots or something, Im not a expert on chicken breeds though, ^-^ Might have to scroll through endless pages of The 'Chicken breed' forum haha. Heres a picture of what mine kinda looks like (A show rooster) View attachment 1434701

Haha maybe a little less developed of course but, I think yours might be a bantam - Mottled cochin!

Haha I also put 2 hens in his coop, now hes so happy. He dances around them like such a dork. Hes so adorable, His crow is so amazing unlike 'Daniel' and 'iggit' We renamed Buffy to Daniel cause he survived the lions den. (Dogs pen. he played dead, God- WISHED HE WAS DEAD!)

I had 3 other roosters (sadly the best one died, Coney, the giant rooster died from a heart attack.. the other two were so retarded and had the worst crow, we gave them away to a pound and they went to a nice farm. haha.

I’ve got one more of the same breed, two seabrights, and my jerky silky (uhhh that guy drives me nuts.)
My seabrights are sweeties, but that dang silky thinks he’s the boss even though he’s low man on the totum pole. Unfortunately we can’t go out into the yard unless armed lol. He’s young, I’m giving him a chance to adulthood but he might end up soup ...

I know you didn't ask, but if your rescue is only 7 weeks I'm pretty sure your friend was right about it being a cockerel.

I wouldn’t mind if it was, because Delaware’s are gorgeous.

Delaware's are gorgeous! The comb and wattles are pretty developed for 7 weeks and the legs are very thick.

LOL! I'm not super familiar with Delaware's but I think you may be able to tell by their coloring too? We have a bantam mixed breed rooster in with our hens/pullets and he does a fabulous job. All of our hens /pullets are large fowl (Jersey Giants, Australorps, Orpingtons..etc) and he doesn't miss a beat.

Haha yeah. I have a chicken, its like a barred rock or a java rock or whatever those are called, but hes a cochin. Hes such a meanie, to even catch him you have to grab his back tailfeathers and drag him then pick him up. otherwise he'd peck you 5 times in a second. Sheesh!... seabrights are beautiful though, I wish I had some.

I would put his age at about 7 months not 7 weeks. The color pattern is called "A duck winged gray". The same as my avatar rooster.

The girl I got the rescue from got chicks by mail the first week of May, my little guy I got around Easter
