I hatched out chicks for the first time on February 4 and others on February 9. I hatched out 2 barnevelder(hen)xlavender orpington(rooster),
2 black non bearded silkie(hen)xlavender orpington(rooster),
2 light brahma(hen)xlavender orpington(rooster),
1 lavender orpington
and 1 blue australorp(hen)xlavender orpington(rooster)
I need help sexing them because I’m worried that 2 of them might be boys and I really don’t want more roosters. I’m almost 100% sure that my full lavender Orpington and australorp orpington cross are pullets but I’m not super sure about the rest. Some of my hens have always had bigger combs and wattles so I’m not to sure if that could also play a part in being able to know what gender they are.
the Brahma orpington crosses: (I am worried about the full black one being a boy but idk about the other one. looks like they could be a pullet, at least I hope they are. they also both have pea combs. I feel like the full black ones comb looks bigger than it is in real life. It looks more flat and pea like in person.
barnevelder Orpington crosses:
Silkie Orpington crosses: (I think one of these may be a boy because they grew some wattles that are very visible)
blue australorp lav orpington cross and full lavender orpington: (I think these are both pullets)
