sorry about your loss. I hope you can find a new rooster that you can love just as much as him (if you don't already). RIP Oreo. I think you did the right thing not doing the necropsy, i would've done the same thing even though i would've wanted to know what had happened to him and if it was contagious (to your other chickens) or not.

Thanks. He was a special guy! At least I still have my other favorite rooster, (Eddy) but still no rooster could replace Oreo. I can't even find a rooster to take his hens, I am trying to get my cockerel Scribble to take them.
