HELP!!! Silkie chick stuck in egg for 72+ hours but still alive

I was able to help him out of the shell successfully. It was very tedious work, but he did come out today. He was very very weak and around his umbilical cord, there was weird mushy stuff. After about ten minutes of being outside of the shell, his breathing slowed and he stopped chirpping. He was so weak during the last minutes of helping him hatch, I had to gently coax off the membrane (no blood vessels were attached to him since the yolk had been absorbed days ago). His breathing slowly stopped and he laid there still. It was a very sad day, but it was not meant to be. He had been stuck inside that egg for 5 days.
