I did a search for Diflucan here in the US, and found http://www.1800petmeds.com/Fluconazole-prod11223.html?AFFID=MS&ID=543218479 sold for cats and dogs. Would this one work? I was thinking of keeping it on hand in my critter med kit.If she has a yeast infection, there is a good chance that it's not just in her crop, but also in her mouth and esophagus. I believe that Monistat will only work on the areas that it touches.
Can you call your vet and ask him to prescribe a proper anti-fungal like Nystatin or Diflucan? If you're near Canada, you can get Diflucan OTC.

Darn, I thought it was OTC. Interesting reading! So where does the infected feces come from? A new chicken? Or wild birds? It should but it looks like it's "RX Only."
I ordered some sodium benzoate but haven't received it yet. It's used as an alternative to amphotericin B in the aforementioned parakeets. I also found one study where they added it to chicken feed. It's cheap, OTC, and yeast don't develop resistance to it like traditional anti-fungals.
