Help - Stopped getting email subscription notifications - unsubscribing???

We're looking into it, thanks for letting us know.

If anybody else is having this problem please reply with:

1. Whether you were getting the emails before and when you stopped getting them
2. Is it all subscriptions or a certain type
3. Did you ever click an "unsubscribe" link on any of your emails from BYC? Some of the links are a "hard unsubscribe" and could permanently unsubscribe you from everything.

Hi,i haven't been getting my email
notifications that someone has posted on the threads that i am subscribed
to. i went in and resubmitted my preferences to immediate notification and
still haven't been getting them. i checked and made sure my email address
was correct. i have gotten 1 notification in 3 to 4 days but when i checked the
site there are several posts on threads that i am subscribed to. i haven't tried
the unsubscribe and then resubscribe yet.

I logged off (another computer) and logged back on.

AND NOW I AM GETTING EMAIL NOTICES ! !

I stopped getting notices again a few hours after logging off. I'll try logging off and back on again to see if it works a second time.

Logged out and back in again. Email notices have resumed. Let's see how long they last this time! Private message notifications always seem to come through ...

ok tried the logging off and on and the no to the auto pausing have only received 1 email since my first post on here and it was for this thread, the post right after mine. it also auto subscribed me to this thread. sooooo no idea whats going on but hope something works soon.

I wonder if the log on/log off is a 24-hour fix. Once I clicked the Don't Pause button and logged off and back on, I was getting inundated with notifications. I re-clicked Don't Pause and was still getting subscription notifications until 11:14 last night. That was the last one I received, although most of my threads have been active. The PM notification seems to be working fine.

Edited to add: I logged off and back on and just got a subscription notification, so it seems the log-off thing is only a temporary fix...

Re-logging in got me about an hour of notices. Then they stopped again.

You shouldn't need to login / logoff every time. We're looking into this.

I logged on this morning and didnt get notification of this comment by Nifty.... FWIW. Woo Hoo I think its getting narrowed down....

OK I got it.... Delayed by a bit..... which is fine. Whew.
