I am a new Wisconsinite to BYC and I really needed some help with my chicks. My first chick was born 2 days ago at 4 in the morning. The next day I found out that he had straddle leg!

Right away I used the bandaid treatment bracing his feet, but after one night he is still not walking. All he is doing is laying down!! Can someone give me a new effective method?!?! (Btw I have read many different straddle leg websites and I have tried it all but I just need a new idea)

Thank you for the help and I just asked about my little guys legs and I am waiting on the response!! Fingers crossed they will know what to do!!!

Thanks! New update my little guy with straddle leg is doing way better after I put him on paper towel , but he is very scared and loud. I am worried to put him on the paper towl back into the chick house because the larger chicks will peck on him!! What should I do?

This was my idea for inside the chick house a berried of hockey puck ( yes I am a hockey player)

Chickens usually improve when on non-slip surfaces, that's why paper towels are so much better than newspapers. I've never seen a hockey puck barrier but, chicken people are very resourceful and imaginative. Some even use legos to build things for chickens,
