Help translate chickeneese

When my very first pullet was close to start laying she would do the song. No egg yet. But I think it was her announcing, "hey! i am about to starting laying eggs". I took it as a, "I am woman, hear me roar!" type thing. :gig Not all of my girls did that tho. Just the one. Now I have some that will announce Before they go in the box, While they are IN the box, or After they get done. Some times they will announce before AND after. One that doesn't bother announcing at all. So I guess it just depends on the hen. She is probably really close.

This is what my farm sounds right around 11 loudest, until like 2. Of course their is always a few early starters, late in the day layers, but with over 600 egg laying chicken and their roosters, I hear this song a lot. And no, they aren't always successful at laying eggs, I think its almost tree habit or attempt, like, "this is my time, im doing something special or im going to let you know in trying so you don't interrupt me" it seems like the hens use it like lamaze! Lol! They also let other hens know what they're doing this way, I think, as opposed to just sitting on eggs or chicks which have warning noises. I feel like singing hens let other singing hens know they aren't going to get them out of the best boxes either, and they'll have to find their own or wait. I know I have hens with favorite boxes and sometimes ill have singing hens waiting to use that box, as opposed to empty boxes. Not sure their rationale, but im pretty sure this egg song means way more just in about to lay an egg. It's definitley a communicative tool that they have an urge to lay, I think, but not that any egg is necessarily going to be guaranteed. I have hens, that like women, make no sound at all during their laying times, quite girls!

I hear what I think is an egg song but there are no eggs. So I think maybe sounding an alarm but the others are calm. So can anyone translate for me? Is the egg song possibly sung BEFORE an egg appears?
It's not an egg song. The sound so many people will insist on calling an egg song is in fact a call for a rooster.
If you read post in the link below I explain a bit about it.
Eventually I'll write an article about this because it's a very common misunderstanding.

Well! I do have only one rooster. He does take care of his ladies. I actually love hearing my chickens singing and crowing and chatting. I'm just so new at this I'm trying to learn their language lol. There won't be chicks from my rooster. He has physical issues that I wont allow to be passed on. As long as they are all healthy and happy I'm enjoying them.
