HELP!!! TURKEY HEN PROLAPSED??

That’s not what I’m doing either. I told her I don’t agree with it and she’s clearly prolapsed and in pain so I want to try to fix this. So I have a tub of warm water and a soft rag and pair of scissors and gloves and some Vaseline. So I’ve cut as much feathers as I can to clear poo away but some are right below the vent way too close to the prolapse to trim without cutting her. I cut what I could and I’ve been trying to clean the red vent with the warm water and rag very gently but clear fluid is constantly coming out and I’m not sure what it is? What do I do from here. Do I stick one finger in with the glove and Vaseline and try to feel up? Where would I feel an “egg”? And one finger can feel far enough in? And what do I do from there do I put it back?

I read a thread about a chick who had a vent prolapse and after applying the hydrocortisone and resetting the prolapse for a few days it went away.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what the white gel stuff is that's leaking out. Does it smell bad or anything? What's the viscosity like? Egg white, mucous, maple syrup?

As far as sticking your finger in, I have no experience, but I'd say lubricate it with something and go very slowly and gently. Feel if you hit anything hard or sharp like an egg/broken egg.

Super kinda runny drippy consistency? Little more runny than egg white I think.. but it’s all over the vent when I clean it away it keeps leaking out of her. It’s more clear than white in coloring. And yes I will wear a glove and use Vaseline and just use one finger. I’m just not sure where to feel in and what i should observe while in and then after feeling if I should try to push the vent back in or not.

Can you feel inside her vent for an egg? This will give more information whether this is just prolapsed tissue or you will need to try to help get the egg out first.

I’m going to feel in there. Was just waiting for a plan on how to do this, like where to feel for an egg if I feel one what would I do and then how would I get it badk
