Help! Unknown peacock malaise despite de-worming and coccidiosis treatment

keeping my fingers crossed for you and the bird, sounds hopeful and that you're getting somewhere with the treatment. Those poops are a good sign.
Have found that if what you're doing for a sick bird is actually working you can usually see the bird start to rebound in as little as 24 hours.
Some vitamins, electrolytes and probiotics would be helpful during this time too and strongly suggest using them now and for about a week after the treatment.
With any luck at all you can find some there made for adding to poultry water ...easily found here in the States for sure.

Probably should not add anything to the water if the water has medication in it. :D

have the highest regards for your extremely good advice. however...adding those would do no harm and the probiotics would be especially needed after the treatment. I like to add them during treatment also..no harm done yet .

Ahhh - I just missed this before my husband went down to the vet. He's going to see what she's got but she said she'd have to order it in probably. Hopefully he'll manage to get something. Otherwise I'll just have to improve my force-feeding techniques because they're not going marvellously well right now!

Well the vet didn't have a proper catheter. She gave us a 60ml syringe and a length of plastic tube but advised us not to use it because of the risk of filling up his lungs with water. So we tried to give him some water with vitamins, electrolytes and probiotic in it using the syringe as usual (not the tube) and some of it went in his lung. We hung him upside down and think that most, if not all, of it dripped out. He's not breathing funnily anymore at least.

His poop has returned to liquid yellow, which is disappointing. We've just force-fed him a whole lot of egg, tomato and soaked bread so hopefully that will help again.

How long is your tube?

He has had all his medication for the day so I'm not too worried about it interacting with the medication, and I've given him fresh water with nothing else in it as an option when we're not feeding him, so at the moment he's only getting the probiotics and vitamins and electrolytes when mixed in with his bread or when we trickle some down his throat with the syringe (although that may not be happening again as I'm really worried about getting it in his lungs.
