HELP URGENT RIGHT NOW!!

Show this thread to your parent(s) to convince them to take her to a vet!
Why would you take a dead chicken to a vet? Based on this, she hasn't breathed in two hours, her comb is cold, rigor mortis has set in, and eyes are fixed and dilated.

Sometimes a vet can help & sometimes not. Regardless, in this case, it seems like your hen went down hill too fast to stop. That's a hard thing to watch and induces panic a fear in the best of us (been there, hate it.) Thank you for trying to help her & I know that we are all sorry that this is the outcome.

Now, you will need to bury your friend. If you need help or permission, please do consult your parent(s). You're going to need a shovel, because you are gonna need to dig a hole. You can't eat her because you don't know what she died from (in case someone may ask.)

Sorry about this.

She probably passed out
Comb is cold, looking cyanotic to me,no eye reflex, the bird is gone. OP is obviously young, living with parents and has been told no vet for the chicken. The people who pay the bills in the household have the final say. It's not our place to encourage a minor to disobey that way. Vets can be very expensive - especially on a weekend. It's possible OP's parents can't afford $100 to fix a $15 bird. Sadly, things happen and chickens die. That's part of chicken keeping.

OP, I'm very sorry you lost your chicken. It's hard to lose a pet. I'm an adult - a grandma, actually - and it still makes me sad when one of my pets dies. From your description, it sounds like a vet couldn't have helped her, but it would still have been expensive. Don't be mad at your parents.

You said in your first post that your dog chased your hen. This is a learning experience - now you know you have to be extra careful in the future to keep the dog and chickens separated, and possibly do some research to teach your dog not to chase your chickens.
