Young chickens die too. Sorry.Maybe.. she isnt old though, like shes really young as like she just laid her 4th egg or something.
Idk if i typed that right, the dog didnt chase the chicken, he was just looking at it.Comb is cold, looking cyanotic to me,no eye reflex, the bird is gone. OP is obviously young, living with parents and has been told no vet for the chicken. The people who pay the bills in the household have the final say. It's not our place to encourage a minor to disobey that way. Vets can be very expensive - especially on a weekend. It's possible OP's parents can't afford $100 to fix a $15 bird. Sadly, things happen and chickens die. That's part of chicken keeping.
OP, I'm very sorry you lost your chicken. It's hard to lose a pet. I'm an adult - a grandma, actually - and it still makes me sad when one of my pets dies. From your description, it sounds like a vet couldn't have helped her, but it would still have been expensive. Don't be mad at your parents.
You said in your first post that your dog chased your hen. This is a learning experience - now you know you have to be extra careful in the future to keep the dog and chickens separated, and possibly do some research to teach your dog not to chase your chickens.
I am sorry for your loss. It would be up to your parents or legal guardian to assist you. If they are present, which I sincerely hope someone is, please ask them for assistance.that bike doesnt have a basket to carry her, also im not allowed to leave home.
Excuse me, I am a 27 year old, engaged woman and have experienced many losses of both people and pets before. That would explain it. Thanks.
Also i didnt mention that she has seen my dog more than 1 time...Many small animals scare easily.
