As you all know, BYC has been growing like CRAZY over the past year. We expect that this trend will continue and our membership will explode again next Spring. Of course, as we grow, so does our need for more great moderators.
The problem is that the bar is set pretty high with our current world class staff. When we looked for a new moderator we looked for a member that:
1) Show a distinct love for the community and a desire to help it grow
2) Lots of examples of helpful and friendly posts
3) A VERY level head, even when people make you really, um...
After a bunch of discussion between the BYC Staff we decided to invite Wynette to join our wonderful group of moderators.
After some intense questioning followed by the standard background checks we were happy to offer her the opportunity to join the BYC Staff. Fortunately for all of our 40,000+ members we can announce that she readily accepted the invitation!
Being a BYC Staff member is a lot of work and comes with a lot of responsibility, but it also brings peeps into a very tight-knit group of friends that work closely together to ensure the mission and vision of BYC is maintained and pushed forward. We are so happy to have such a great base of members to choose from and the decision is never easy to make. We're always watching members to see who will be great additions to our team. Sometimes we've watched potential candidates for over a year!
