Help - vent too small

Can you give her a tsp of solid cold coconut oil, or add a tsp of mineral oil to a small bit of egg or food? You can freeze the coconut oil to cut it into small pieces. Are you pretty convinced that she is a pullet now? Is she eating mostly chicken feed and drinking normally?

Took more photos today. She still seems the same. Very small vent, can only just get my finger in. See seems to struggle pooping. Definitely no egg in there. I’d say only two fingers side by side between pelvic bone. I keep putting Vaseline on her vent to help her poop. Im just worried she will split if she tries to lay an egg.
Well if she’s a she, she has not reached the point Of lay yet because those bones are still too close together.

I have no idea if she is male or female. She look more petite than the others who are already laying and her comb is still pretty small. Fingers crossed everything will be ok once she/he matures.

I do have some coconut oil that I could freeze but why would this help?

They are eating layers pellets but when I got them the shop told me to buy them versele-Lana country’s best gold mix and they would prefer to eat this than layers pellets. Drinking water will Apple cider vinegar in it.

Freezing it will allow the to peck it eagerly. I do not like giving oils orally, since there is always a chance of choking on it. The oil will help to soften the poop.

I know. Most layer feeds in the US are at least 15% to 17%. The company is located in the UK. I don’t know if that is more common there. That feed also is a mixture of chipunks and seeds, and I have read that some chickens will peck out the parts they want and leave the rest.

I am wondering whatever happened with your chicken. I am having the same symptoms with my 10 month old hen. She had been a pretty regular layer until a pretty significant molt about a month ago. Same small vent symptoms and the same type of leakage.
