So, I just did another check before I had to run out for a little while. Shes in there..... just resting. She can wiggle enough to make the egg Barely move, but she does it. I have a question...... I peeped thru the tiny hole..... the membrane, should it be stretched and tight? It has turned a little more whiteish, just a little, but it's sort of wrinkling around her..... wish I could take a pic of that. Does that sound right? Thanks so much!!

I would prick the membrane very carefully with a toothpick. Any blood STOP. Just a tiny hole to see how done she is. If no blood pull membrane further back. I have had several malpositioned. Just go really slowly....

Ok, thank you. The only thing is.... what if she still needed another day or so. She was partially sat on (broody hen) so I found out that can take a little more time, or less. If she IS not fully grown, will poking a hole in membrane kill her.

I just want to make sure the membrane isnt drying out. I have humidity high now since were on day 32 but it's getting a tad bit whiter each day.
Should it be tight or wrinkled against her?

A tiny hole shouldn't hurt her and will make sure she gets oxygen. Tiny tiny hole. If there is any blood, you know she isn't done, if no blood, she might be shrink wrapped and further action might be needed.

I don't recommend doing this but this guy came out alright. He was two days like this. I was worried about him because he was two days behind everyone else.

most recent hatch. I am too aggressive a helper but have only killed one. Unfortunately it was a low temperature one like yours. Very first egg for me.

Ok, so...in order to "see how done she is", I'll only be able to see a tiny spot of her. What should I be looking for?
