help!!!!! very urgent!!!!!! possibly internal pip gone wrong!!!!!

I wouldn't put my little runners with a pekin drake. They are just too small to handle a big boy like that! Dang, I had enough problems with my little chocolate drake and 6 girls! They didn't have any neck feathers in the hight of the mating season so I had to put him in time out!
He is a big boy. I have to seperate them alot, & you should see the panic trying to get back to eachother....from both of them. Sometimes I wonder if hes actually a Jumbo Pekin. From the time he was just a few days old & up, he was always bigger than all the internet pics of 1 week, 3 weeks, 2 months, etc., etc... He always looked more like the Jumbo Pekins size. Not sure. But hes messy & will eat Anything. But he sure is a fierce protector of his lady.:hugs

Oh my goodness would never recommend Runner females with reg Pekin drake or def not Jumbos. Maybe if possible go with Appleyards or a few more Pekins @CrystaBub just picked up a gorgeous Appleyard female and she says she is huge. Saxony are large enough to handle a Pekin too. Heck my Muscovy drake is 12 lbs and his Muscovy females are 4-6 lbs.

See the difference? Poor little thing

Wow he’s a big boy for sure. They are both gorgeous. @Jpat has Saxony he can weigh in on that breed.
Thank you, I think so too, but of course I'm biased. ; ) I wish Max, my drake, wouldnt have gotten so mean tho. He tries to eat me up every single time I'm near him. He used to be my little cuddle bug. Now, I cant go near him without getting bit......and he draws blood sometimes. He bites hard!!! Not sure why. I always thought if he started to get that way, it would never be me...... His MOM!!!!

He is being Mr. Macho. Don’t let him bite you. If he tries or does you need to let him know right off it isn’t something you are going to let him get away with either take him by the neck so he can’t bite and pick him up pinning both wings so he can’t fight you. If you can since he’s so big. If you can’t then pin him to the ground on his belly hand behind his neck to hold his head down then place your knee over his middle back and other hand down lower back where tail meets. Hold him till he stops struggling once he stops let him up facing away from you if he comes again do it again. You are treating him just like another drake would treat him to let him know he is not the dominant one here you are. If your consistent he’ll learn. This is In no way advocating animal abuse I never hurt my drake but I don’t let him or my gander get away with biting me or anyone else.

OH yes! An Appleyard could handle a Pekin male for sure - they are big! Appleyard, Saxony, another Pekin or even a Rouen would be good larger breeds for your boy! :D
