HELP!! Water Fits with water fowl peeps

I replace the waterers every year

How are you cleaning the water and feed dishes, based on everything you have said already and it only starts with fresh feed and water? I'm thinking it has something to do with cleaning.

@MartinsPoultry, I have seen this several times in mine, and each time it happens after they a bunch of drink cool, fresh water. Mine will start flipping around like crazy. Some can be saved, some cannot. To save mine I place them together in nest that I make out of an old sleeping bag. Something about keeping them still and warm seems to help.

This stopped happening when I started providing warm water, but before I figured it out I lost 6-8 of them.

I guess water fits is a good description it sure threw me though when I first heard it.

with Dawn original soap or ACV, after I clean them I let them bake in the sun for a few hours to dry out.

I never give them cold or cool water more or less luke warm water like I do for my Bearded Dragons bath time.

So im not a duck person yet n but i figured I Google just to see and I found this for you. It would seem young duck cant tolerate cool water in their body's. Where as oldest ducks should have better self temp regulation.

Is your other flock mostly adults? Or are their babies that are acting healthy in the original flock too?

It's gotta be in the 102° to 105° range.
