One of my dogs just got a hold of my chicken and plucked most the feathers and has a couple of wounds. What can I put on her to protect her skin and wounds? She is a layer. We will not be eating her. Please any advice.

I would use neosporin. The kind without pain relief. I had a dog attack my chicken a few weeks back and every night after they went to roost, I would slather lots of neosporin on her wounds. I didn't separate her from the flock because she was eating and drinking and doing all the normal things chickens do. A lot of people on here use blue-kote and it does a good job especially to keep the others from pecking her. My flock free-ranges all day so there wasn't any pecking issues even though she is at the bottom of the chicken pole. All of her feathers are coming back in and she is doing great. That's been my experience. But by no means am I an expert.
