Just hatched with this huge thing. Is this the yolk sack and what should I do?????????

If your other eggs are still in the incubator waiting to hatch, I would minimize the opening of the incubator as you will loose temperature and humidity. I've never hatch twins before but it appears that this was a twin of sorts maybe cojoined.... I hope someone else sees this post and can tell us. Hope this helps a little ..Nancy

It leaked the whole way now. It is now kind of a little bloody looking mass. I will take another pic of it. Thanks! So maybe it wasn't his yolk sac but possibly twins??? Do you think he will make it?
Yes, there are other eggs pipped. These guys are early. They pipped day 19 and hatched today on day 20.

Is it moving around normally? Maybe it will be okay.

Yes, he is moving around ok so far. He tried to get away from the light when I shined it in to take the pic. I believe that is how he broke the yolk sac by moving around.

Did you help it hatch?
It's a yolk sac alright. Too bad it leaked, if the chick managed to absorb it, it could have a chance. Maybe.

I had a duck hatch like that - my husband helped it. It did not end well.

I think all you can do now is wait. I think there is a risk of infection, also bleeding to death.
Sorry to be so honest.
I did not have much luck in a situation like that.
