One case doesn't establish cause and effect. Maybe it's a female that is more favored by the male. Or maybe it's completely unrelated to gender entirely.

but its not 1 case, its 6 cases, 6 pens, each, with 1 bald head, and 4 not bald, i get 4 eggs a day from EACH pen, see, quail arent the same as chukar, or pheasant, where the female gets rode, the females harass the males, to "play ball". im agreeing with other ways to sex, im also sure that my observations are correct, but thanks.
