Help! What is wrong with my duckling's feet?

Just remember Epsom salt is a laxative! I use compresses (soaked clean rags) but Miss Lydia knows how to use a flat-bottomed shallow bucket to stand the duck in.

Compress or a shallow small bowl, either way you'll be holding onto the ducklings so they can't nibble on the compress or drink the water. maybe start with a couple mins and work up to 5 if they tolerate it okay. I just hold my duck and let them stand in the warm ES water. After they are in it they usually settle right down. Just do which one works the best. I bet it won't take long to see those lil feet begin to heal.

I just hope all the rest get out of there before they have permanent damage to their feet from the ammonia burns.

Please keep us updated. Maybe if nothing else you could try and raise some money to buy all the ducklings, but I really hope the shelter or ASPCA will step in.

@DuckyGaze - Yep, as caesargirl said we've all been thinking about you and your new babies. I'm wondering if I should road trip to those ducklings. I could probably comfortably fit 4 more into my existing coop once they're done in the brooder. I can also ask around my area to see if anyone else could take some in. Hoping SPCA does step in, but would like a Plan B.
