Help with breeds please

I will try to get better pictures. Bought a straight run from neighbors. I think I’m about a 50/50 on cockerels to pullets. No clue what breeds they are though. 4 weeks old. I know it’s a little early.

Wow. Super informative. I hate to give these Roos away. I get attached and so do my kids. I just need more hens, but also need way more space

You won’t hate to give them up once they start over mating your girls and possibly getting aggressive towards you and your kids as well... That’s the worst watching your cockerels snap. It’s better to remember them fondly and give them to good homes.

This is my silkie. My kids named him teddy because he looks soft. I named him teddy ray cyrus because of his glorious mullet

Teddy was also kind of a rescue bird. Our neighbor brought him to our house because her other rooster was beating him up. I’m kind of partial to him. I don’t want to give the other Roos up though. I’m such a softy. I can’t let any go.

If you really want to keep them, you can separate all the cockerels into their own flock. Roosters together without hens don’t fight as much as ones in a mixed sex flock.
