Have you tried the baby aspirin in case he's suffering pain?

I have not I was trying to avoid it how do I give it to him and what if I don't have the baby version?

I just slip the pill into the beak. Some of my chickens will just gobble it up like a treat.

I don't think you would be able to cut down an adult 325 mg aspirin small enough for him, so if you can't find the 81 mg baby aspirin or the small dose 81 mg chewable aspirin old folks take for their hearts, I guess he's out of luck.

Too bad, because it really does help relieve a chicken's pain pretty well.

Dose is basically 1/8 of regular-strength (325 mg) Aspirin per day {EDT: Emphasis on DAY, not DOSE. Check out post#24 on the above thread.} I'd grind one up in a pint of water and just give him a little less than quarter a cup of water.

EDT: The above was for large fowl. I have corrected it for a bantam. Sorry!
