Help With Dog Attack.....

Hello Everyone. I’m sad to say my ducks were attacked by my brothers dog who is visiting for the holidays. Dogs and ducks are completely separated now but one of them died. All of them are missing feathers off their back. I have the two worst in the house. I have wrapped one wing, put neosporin on raw/bleeding skin, gave them a bath to clean up, dried them off, put food and water out...... My Pekin Marshmallow has a puncture in her breast and feathers gone off back. Is there anything else I should be doing?

The other 5 are in their shed/house with a heat lamp on because it’s teally cold here and with them being hurt, traumatized, and missing feathers they probably need a little extra heat. Also have food and water available to them.

I’m trying to get pictures and or video, but I currently have a cat that is recouperating from abscesses/cat scratch fever, and my 5 year old just had surgery and needs attention.

Sorry for your loss. My advice is to check each one as thoroughly as possible because with all of their feathers it's easy to miss wounds. Do you have betadine or chlorhexidine to clean the wounds?

Sorry for your loss. My advice is to check each one as thoroughly as possible because with all of their feathers it's easy to miss wounds. Do you have betadine or chlorhexidine to clean the wounds?

I don’t but can go get some. It is really easy to miss their wounds. I feel like such a jerk picking them up when they are hurting. But I will go back over them in just a little bit. I have some cipro drops, and amoxicillin if needed.

I haven’t. If I took all of them to the vet, the hubs might not speak to me.
