Help with male/female identification.

I am going to look at some baby ducks. One set the mom is a Khaki Cambell and the dad is Ancona/Rouen mix. Anyone with any thoughts on how to identify the females from the males? Thanks

The only way to know sex is by vent sexing and you really need to be experienced or the duckling can be injured.

If dad was the Khaki and mom was the mix the ducklings would have been sex-linked and color would have given gender. But, not this way. Sorry! They are adorable though.

Well I picked up 5. They looked to have been kept in poor conditions. When I got home I put them with the others. I have 25 pullets and 3 wild ducks I took in as someone found them at work and they would have died had they not been picked up. Anyways the 5 new ducks ate and drank for 30 solid mins.

Aww Bless you should have taken all and found the other's good homes. It is so sad when people don't care for the animals they have they should not be allowed to have them. Thank goodness you got 5 out of there.
